Introductory Level (3-4 YEAR OLD CLASS)   This introductory session is a pre-instrumental music program for 3-4 year old children. Classes focus on exploring the world through music in a small group setting size 6-8). This curriculum provides a joyful and exciting introduction to the many facets of music. Activities: Rhythm work through movement, chants, singing, and percussion instruments Hands on exploration of many acoustic instruments (Violin, Bass, Trumpet, Trombone, Dulcimer, etc.) Many folk dances and musical games Movement in response to musical cues (high/low, loud/soft, short/long, etc.) Singing, chanting, and exploring the voice Listening to sounds of nature and of home, and to music and instruments from around the world Cost: Tuition: $340/semester, due twice yearly* Materials fees: $60 (includes 9 instruments for home use) Times and Dates: Classes meet weekly, from September 20, 2010 to May 1, 2011. Two class times are currently open: Friday 1:45-2:30, Friday 2:45-3:30 $60 materials fee due immediately to reserve a space.
